20 Teams entered into the carnival will be split into 5 groups.
Each group will have 4 teams.
Group games on Day 1 are played so each team will play each other team in the group once.
Scores will be kept (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss).
The top team in each group plus the ‘best second placed team’ out the 5 groups will then be entered into the Premier Group. The other 4 second placed teams plus the ‘best two third placed teams’ will entered into the Plate Group. The remaining 8 teams will be entered in the Championship Groups.
The Premier and Plate Groups will run on Day 2 & 3 with each team playing the other 5 teams in their respective group. There will then be a final placing game to finish the tournament.
The 8 Championship teams will be split into two groups of 4. Day 2 will see each team play the other teams in their respective group. Day 3 will start with quarter finals involving the 8 teams and result in ranking games including a final.
Teams finishing on equal points in their respective Groups - standings will be determined by goal difference. If still equal, league position will be determined by goals scored. If teams are still equal then a coin toss will be used to determine the placings.
After Day 1, if two or more clubs finish on the same points/ goal difference/ goals scored, there will be a coin toss to determine which Group each team may be placed into.
