Who can participate in the Premier Invitational?

The Premier Invitational is a festival of soccer, welcoming teams of all levels. Spots fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.

What are the team formats?

Under 8 & 9: 7v7

Under 10–13 (Boys): 9v9

Under 14–16 (Boys): 11v11

Under 10/11 & 12/13 (Girls): 9v9

Under 14/15 & 16/17 (Girls): 11v11

How many days does the tournament run?

Each age group competes over a 3-day period.

How many games does each team play?

Under 8–13 (Boys): 9 games

Under 14–16 (Boys): 6 games

Under 10/11 & 12/13 (Girls): 9 games

Under 14/15 & 16/17 (Girls): 6 games

What is the duration of each game?

Under 8–13 (Boys): 15-minute halves

Under 14–16 (Boys): 20-minute halves

Under 10/11 & 12/13 (Girls): 15-minute halves

Under 14/15 & 16/17 (Girls): 20-minute halves

Can players play outside their age group?

Yes, but they must submit the following information:

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Date of Birth
  • Reason for the request

Where is the Premier Invitational held?

Due to the ever-increasing size of the tournament, it takes place at various soccer clubs around the Gold Coast. Learn more about our venues.

Will teams play opponents of similar skill levels?

Day One is used as a grading day. Following grading, teams are placed into divisions to ensure competitive balance for the remainder of the tournament.

Your team could be drawn to play against any other entry on day one. As the Tournament progresses, you are then graded to play against teams of a similar level.

What is the refund policy?

Deposits: Non-refundable upon team registration.

Final Payment: Due 6 weeks prior to the tournament’s Day One start date. Failure to pay by this date may result in forfeiture of your team’s position.

What happens if the tournament is canceled?

The Premier Invitational and all organising parties are not responsible for financial compensation for losses that may occur due to events outside of our control, such as pandemic, wet weather, fire or other environmental or government circumstances.
